This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, operates with a strong sense of urgency, and can quickly turn emerging threats, technical research, and industry developments into compelling narratives and high-impact marketing programs.
In this role, you'll lead CrowdStrike's marketing rapid-response program, ensuring we respond quickly and effectively to emerging threats, critical vulnerabilities, and major cybersecurity events. You'll also build and execute strategic thought leadership programs, with a strong focus on AI research, AI safety, securing AI, and defending with AI, alongside other priority cybersecurity domains.
This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to build and lead a small, high-performing team. We're looking for someone who combines strong cybersecurity knowledge, exceptional storytelling, and operational discipline with the ability to build scalable programs and deliver measurable business impact.
What You'll Do:
- Own and lead CrowdStrike's marketing rapid-response program for emerging threats, critical vulnerabilities, major cybersecurity incidents, and breaking security developments.
- Establish and operationalize a rapid-response program with defined SLAs, clear prioritization criteria, escalation paths, and cross-functional accountability to deliver timely, high-quality responses to critical cybersecurity events.
- Bring together Product Marketing, Campaigns, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Communications, Editorial, Legal, Digital, and Sales Enablement to coordinate and execute rapid-response initiatives from initial assessment through publication and amplification.
- Work closely with technical experts to rapidly translate threat research and emerging security developments into timely, actionable content, including blogs, technical explainers, webinars, videos, and customer-facing resources.
- Lead strategic AI thought leadership programs spanning frontier AI research, AI safety, securing AI systems and agents, and defending with AI, establishing CrowdStrike as a leading voice in the AI security conversation.
- In partnership with PMM leadership, develop and execute ongoing thought leadership programs across other strategic security domains, including cloud security, identity, threat intelligence, and exposure management, with clear objectives, target audiences, execution plans, and measurable KPIs.
- Drive cross-functional execution and amplification of thought leadership programs across digital, social, campaigns, and sales channels to maximize reach, engagement, and business impact.
- Leverage AI and automation to accelerate content development, streamline workflows, and improve the speed and scale of rapid response and thought leadership programs.
- Establish performance metrics and reporting to track rapid-response SLAs, program execution, audience engagement, sales adoption, and marketing-influenced pipeline.
What You'll Need:
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity marketing, product marketing, technical marketing, threat intelligence, cybersecurity research, or related fields.
- Proven experience building or scaling a cybersecurity rapid-response marketing program, including establishing SLAs, prioritization frameworks, cross-functional workflows, and processes to deliver timely responses to critical security events.
- Demonstrated experience building and executing strategic, research-driven thought leadership programs that drive industry engagement and measurable business impact.
- Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, including emerging threats, vulnerabilities, adversary tactics, and enterprise security technologies, with a keen interest in AI research, AI safety, and AI security.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical research into compelling narratives for security practitioners, CISOs, and business leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with speed and urgency, make sound decisions under pressure, and drive cross-functional execution under tight deadlines.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving accountability across multiple functions.
- Hands-on experience using generative AI and automation to transform marketing workflows, accelerate execution, and improve productivity.
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a cybersecurity marketing leader who combines deep technical curiosity, exceptional storytelling, and strong operational discipline. They have successfully built or scaled rapid-response marketing programs, know how to mobilize cross-functional teams to respond quickly to breaking security events, and bring experience developing sustained thought leadership programs that influence industry conversations.
