  • Structure complex issues into clear options and actionable recommendations.
  • Coordinate annual planning and periodic priority reviews, establishing objectives, milestones, and accountable owners.
  • Anticipate issues requiring CPPO attention and coordinate the information and recommendations needed for decisions.

Operating rhythm and organizational effectiveness

  • Manage GA&PP’s operating cadence, including leadership meetings, all-employee meetings, planning sessions, and organizational reviews.
  • Ensure meetings advance decisions and priorities through focused agendas, appropriate preparation, and documented follow-up.

  • Identify opportunities to improve collaboration, clarify responsibilities, and simplify internal processes.

Executive communications

  • Lead preparation of executive presentations, Board materials, briefing documents, talking points, and responses to leadership questions.
  • Synthesize contributions from regional and functional experts into accurate, concise materials.
  • Manage preparation and review timelines for priority executive deliverables.
  • Support communication of GA&PP’s strategy, priorities, decisions, and progress across the organization.

Transformation and special initiatives

  • Lead designated transformation initiatives and special projects sponsored by the CPPO.
  • Establish project objectives, milestones, responsibilities, and measures of success.
  • Coordinate participating teams, resolve execution barriers, and provide leadership with clear progress assessments.
  • Advance adoption of AI-enabled workflows that improve productivity and the quality of decision support.
  • Ensure completed initiatives transition to appropriate ongoing owners.

Executive operations and team leadership

  • Partner with the CPPO’s Executive Assistant to align scheduling priorities, preparation, and follow-up with the CPPO’s objectives.
  • Coordinate competing requests for executive attention and recommend appropriate prioritization or delegation.
  • Oversee the Chief of Staff team, setting expectations, managing workload, and supporting professional development.
  • Build a collaborative and responsive function that supports the CPPO and GA&PP Leadership Team.
  • Handle sensitive information and relationships with discretion.

Required capabilities and qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business operations, executive support, government affairs, or related work.
  • Experience leading complex initiatives across teams with competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical judgment and ability to develop practical recommendations from incomplete information.
  • Excellent executive writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive commitments across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience coordinating resource planning, organizational performance, and change initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and manage sensitive matters.
  • Experience leading and developing staff.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience supporting a senior executive in a Chief of Staff or comparable capacity.
  • Experience in a multinational technology company or global government affairs organization.
  • Familiarity with public policy and the relationship between policy priorities and business objectives.
  • Experience improving organizational processes through digital tools and AI-enabled workflows.
